Yoghurt and Oat Soup Recipe

Ingredients

6 tablespoons of rice
3 tablespoons of oats
1 cup of yoghurt
1 tablespoon of flour
1 tablespoon of butter
1 egg
1.5 litres of boiling water
Salt

Method

1) Wash the rice in a colander and put it in a saucepan with the oats and some boiling hot water and let it boil on high heat and turn down the heat to medium once boiling, continuing to cook over medium heat until the rice is nice and soft.
2) In a bowl mix well the egg, flour and yoghurt.  Add some boiling water to make this mixture lukewarm and add the mixture into the boiling rice stirring the soup constantly.   You can turn up the heat of your cooker at this point.
3) Add some more boiling water if the mixture is too thick but continue to stir the soup throughout until the soup is boiling.
4) Once your soup has boiled and it is at the consistency that you are happy with then turn off the heat and add the butter and salt and mix it into the soup.  If you think the soup is too thick then you can add some more boiling water and let that boil stirring it constantly until the soup is boiled.
5) Enjoy.

Note: You can feed this soup to your baby from 9 months onwards.
