Russian Salad Recipe

2 eggs
1 medium white onion
1 medium carrot
1 medium potato
100 grams of peas
8-10 gherkins
100-150 grams of sour cream
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise


1) Peel the carrots and potatoes and dice it into tiny pieces and put it in a non-stick pan to boil.
2) Wash the peas and put it in the same pan as the carrots and potatoes with some water and cook it until tender.
3) Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, leave to cool. Peel the cooled boiled eggs and dice it is tiny pieces. Put the chopped eggs into a large salad bowl.
4) Peel and wash the onion and finely chop it in the same way as the rest of the ingredients and put it in the same bowl as the eggs.  Wash the gherkins and chop it in the same way and add it to the same salad bowl.
5) Once the vegetables are cooked and excess water is drained and the vegetables are cooled add it to the rest of the ingredients.  Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, salt and the lemon juice, mix thoroughly, and serve.
6) Enjoy.
